Simon Hollingsworth gets stripped!!

After a drunken night out, Simon Hollingsworth agreed to have his chest waxed and has kindly donated the £125 raised to the Big Bear Fest. This excruciating pain took place on Saturday 22nd January 2011 and there was an audience of 15 all eager to rip off the waxing strips as Simon braced himself on Kirsty Cuddeford’s kitchen floor.

Melanie to make a ‘bald’ move at the Big Bear Fest!

Melanie Bearman has announced that she will be having all her hair shaved off at the Big Bear Fest live on stage! Dane’s sister Sarah and cousin Stevie will be doing the honours with the clippers to remove those flowing locks.

Melanie will be raising money for Meningitis UK before the event and will be equipped with a collection bucket on the day so look out for her either with hair or BALD!!!

BIG BEAR FEST LOOKING FOR TRUSTEES

Hi all, we are in the process of setting the BIG BEAR FEST up as a registered charity. We need to appoint trustees and would welcome applications from people who are interested and would like to be considered.

There are only a few restrictions:

  • anyone who has been convicted of an offence involving deception or dishonesty, unless the conviction is spent;
  • anyone who is an undischarged bankrupt;
  • anyone who has previously been removed from trusteeship of a charity by the Court or by us;
  • anyone who is subject to a disqualification order under the Company Directors Disqualification Act 1986
  • You must be over the age of 18

PROLOG RAISE OVER £800 FOR BIG BEAR FEST FUND

Sam worked in Sudbury, Suffolk for a company called Prolog.  Not surprisingly, he made many friends there and they did not hesitate in showing their support and love for him by quickly, organising two events to show how much he meant to them.

The first was a, “dress down” day where staff could pay a minimum of £2.00 to come into work.  This was supplemented by having, “Bear Bars”  for staff to buy drinks (non-alcoholic!) and the money it raised added to the fund.
