Money Raised for The Big Bear Fest
Last year we were contacted by three special guys, James Pilkington, Lee Taylor and Phil Game. They were determined to raise money for Sam and the Big Bear Fest and had the great idea to enter the, Mens Health Survival of the Fittest.
On November 12th 2011 they took part in this tough challenge running 10km with 16 obstacles to overcome.
On a miserable day the fellas started outside Battersea Power Station, adorned in their Big Bear Fest T shirts and literally powered their way through, over and under the course.
The guys absolutely smashed it and finished the challenge in the really impressive time of 1 hour 9 minutes 52 seconds.
I think we can all agree, that these fellas are undoubtedly the fittest!
We met with Phil and Dinny Willemse at the after party for the 5 A Side tournament and were presented with £327 that they had raised in sponsorship.
Phil informed us that their next challenge in support of The Big Bear Fest was for them to compete in an even tougher event! The guys are not only doing this event again but also entering a Spartan Event which is double the distance! I think after seeing the film 300, we can guess why the event is called Spartan and we can guarantee it will be extreme!

Many thanks guys for supporting us and helping to make sure the Big Bear Fest is a success for Sam, for Meningitis UK and to keep raising awareness of this cruel disease. You are all stars:)
One Love
